Madhavi is a chartered accountant (FCMA) and business consultant whose professional career, spanning over 4 decades, includes senior finance roles within FMCG, Defence, International Public sector, Publishing , Financial Services and the Charity sector. She is currently finance director of FII Ltd and a consultant working with NATO.

Dr. Kshama Metre, known affectionately by all of us as Doctor Didi, is a leading Indian rural development leader and paediatrician. She is the National Director of the Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development (CORD).

CORD works deep within the most rural and deprived locations in India, deploying its unique sustainable model for a comprehensive community driven integrated development program, under the aegis of the Chinmaya Mission.

She is currently Finance Director of FII Ltd and a consultant working with NATO.

Madhavi is a qualified child and adolescent psychotherapist (MEd/MBACP), working within schools and with refugee organisations.

Madhavi’s passion is working with the charity sector, focussing on women and children from disadvantaged or deprived communities with a view to education-led transformation. This has resulted in a parallel career, outside of the ‘day job’, for over 15 years. She has led teams of student volunteers to teach in rural impoverished areas in India; helped to establish the Lifelines International Fund; and has worked with charities like Sense International on fundraising and awareness initiatives. She has worked as a children’s therapist at the Refugee Council; was a Parent Mentor for Action for Children; and for over 10 years led children’s Sunday school, Bala Vihar, at Chinmaya Mission UK, a Hindu value-based charitable organisation.

Madhavi is on the Board of Sense International Romania, CEO of Lifelines, and on the Committee of Chinmaya Mission France. She is on the Finance and Governance Committee of the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapists (BACP), and has been on the panel of ‘Women Taking Action,’ part of Action for Children.

Pia studied Business Management at the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki Finland. She holds a STEP Diploma and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Swiss and International Taxation.

Pia is a Senior Client Relationship Manager and Trustee for high net worth individuals, families, intermediaries and family offices. For almost 20 years, she has worked as a key client relationship manager and team leader for trust companies in Zurich, Switzerland. She has specific expertise in the business development and relationship of charitable and family foundations and special purpose trusts.

Pia is a Foundation Council Member of the UTIL Stiftung (UTIL Foundation), a Swiss charitable foundation whose mission includes promoting and supporting social entrepreneurship in Asia; poverty, emergency and disaster relief; medical research and disease prevention; increasing and funding education and training; and working with other non-profit organisations. As a Foundation Council member, Pia acts for non-profit organisations in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Apart from Finnish, which is her mother tongue, Pia also speaks fluent German, English and Swedish.

Darpan qualified as a chartered accountant (CGMA) and moved on to a career in management consulting and business transformation. Over the past 20 years Darpan has had a number of FTSE 100 clients, as well as private equity-backed clients across the finance, telecommunications, energy, leisure and healthcare sectors, in addition to the charity sector.

A commercial and creative thinker, Darpan’s key strengths are: the promotion of strategic planning and facilitating subsequent action; and bridging the knowledge and expertise between finance, operations, IT and a business overall.

Darpan has fulfilled a number of voluntary positions, predominantly at a community level, but with some global outreach. In addition to supporting Lifelines, Darpan is a governor at a local school, chairing the finance committee, and has previously dedicated his knowledge and expertise to the Chinmaya Mission UK and Hampstead Garden Opera charities.

Darpan is currently working with British Paralympic cyclist Karen Darke MBE on a youth empowerment programme.
